New Milford, CT, is having its Pumpkin Fest, and along with some very big pumpkins, Kitchen Magic will be on hand, Saturday from 10 am. to 3 p.m. You'll also find us in Connecticut at the Vendor Fair and Tag Sale in Shelton, CT, Saturday from  9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; at the Elephant's Trunk Flea Market in New Milford, CT, Sunday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and at the Trumbull Fall Craft Festival in Trumbull, CT, , Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Consumer Confidence Climbs in May

In a sign the economy is improving slightly, the Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence Index climbed to its highest mark in eight months in May.

"Looking ahead, consumers are considerably less pessimistic than they were earlier this year, and expectations are that business conditions, the labor market and incomes will improve in the coming months," said Lynn Franco, director of The Conference Board Consumer Research Center.
